I am a registered art therapist but first….I am a person who needs to create almost as much as I need to breathe. I think I have always had a crayon or marker in my hands. When I’m not with my husband, 5 boys, dog or other pets, I am usually making a mess and creating something fun.
My first experience with a sewing machine was watching my Baba on her old Singer. When I got the chance to sew on a machine, I was hooked! I made my first quilt when I was 17, which fell apart from overuse. I am currently in the middle of creating too many new quilts. I also enjoy sewing zippered pouches and other things. I currently teach elementary and middle school children sewing and quilting. They make me believe that, even in the age of technology, there still is a need for things made by hand.
